The first stop for this performance was in front of the 2019 Whitney Biennial. I wasn't sure
what to expect. My friend with me was fairly certain someone was going to chase me away.
However, I was unbothered. When I was setting up, a little boy came up with me. He was filled with questions for me. His dad was behind him laughing as his son asked me very serious questions.
"What are you doing?" "Did you make this?"
"Is that a book?"
"Have you been all around the world?"
I told him this was my first stop around the world. He was very excited about this. I introduced myself to him, and he got all little kid bashful. I offered him a sticker, and he was very excited. He told me his name and that he was 8 years old, and then introduced his little brother. His dad shook my hand and thanked me for talking to his son. If every stop has something like this, I will be very happy.
